I can't believe it took me so many years to make a shrine to possibly one of my favorite "medias" of all time. The music of Emma Essex has been with me through nearly half my life at this point, so it really does mean a lot to me.
This shrine has gone through three iterations so far, but I've finally completed it!

"Wat da fuk is a Lap Fox?"

Lapfox Trax is a fictional record label created by Emma Essex which focuses primarily on electronic music, stemming from the hardcore/jungle scene. It began as Vulpvibe Records in 2007, rebranded into Lapfox Trax in 2009, and then once again into Halley Labs in 2015. Halley Labs is the current label Emma uses for her music, but I usually just refer to all three eras as "Lapfox" since it's easier and most recognizable.

Lapfox Trax is a fictional record label, meaning the artists that are signed to the label don't actually exist in real life. It's all run by one person.

Why I love Lapfox Trax so much is not only because of the music itself, but because unlike a lot of electronic music nowadays, Emma is very passionate of the music they create, and their talent shines through with every single release.
Even if you're not a fan of hardcore electronic music, Emma has released tracks for almost every genre under the sun and it's incredibly impressive. From breakcore, to happy hardcore, to gabber, to ragga, to hardstyle, to speedcore, DnB, dubstep, noise, chiptune, digital hardcore, trap, metal, pop...
You name it and Emma has probably done it.
And not to mention Emma's INSANE discography. Seriously. They have single handedly made thousands upon thousands of songs and has designed nearly hundreds of unique characters even if those characters aren't established aliases.
Quoting from the Wiki:
"Halley Labs [Lapfox Trax] has been operating for over a decade, with over 309 releases and 64 different aliases. "

"That's a lot of releases, where do I even start?"

It's completely up to you, but I know that's not exactly helpful.
I won't link the Wiki (since it's hosted on Fandom, ew) so I'll leave it up to you to check out which aliases produce which sound you're interested in! I do go into detail about the types of music each alias produces on the sidebar o'er there! It's not an exhaustive list of every alias, just my favorites so definitely the ones I'd recommend to my friends.

Lapfox music has been meme'd since the early days of Youtube, so I'd be surprised if you haven't already heard them! You've most likely already heard Rainbow Tylenol and Avast Your Ass by Kitsune2, John Freeman by Furries In a Blender, Coward Killing Time by the Quick Brown Fox, You Got Curves She Got Curves by Renard, or Rubber Band (aka penis music) by Jackal Queenston at some point in your life.
You may have even heard The Living Tombstone remix of Atomizer by Furries In A Blender, or Gabberstag by Renard & Futret. Neither of which were memes, but got relatively popular.
It's genuinely amazing how many songs have became so popular yet people don't know (or care for) who they came from.
